Join The Ivy Bookshop as we once again transform our gardens into an event space for poetry, this time featuring a collaborative reading from Donald Berger, Chris Mason, and Terence Winch– who all have new collections out in recent months! These three poets have been anchors of poetry in Baltimore for many decades, and an evening with all three of them is going to be a real treat.
You’ll hear Donald Berger read from Pizza Necklace, Chris Mason from Something Something Morning, and Terence Winch from The Ship Has Sailed– and you’ll have the chance to ask them questions about their writing and beyond (Chris and Terence, for example, are also fantastic musicians, and Donald is an esteemed translator). Books will be available for purchase at the event.
We encourage (and supply) picnic blankets (though there will also be chairs and benches available), and there will be a pop-up bar. Deep listening and genuine questions encouraged. We love gathering with you to talk about the draw and the impacts of poetry in the world.
